I think the track listing is just fine. I've always liked 'Invaders' as an opening track, they sound like they mean business. My copy of the album has 'Total Eclipse' included after 'Gangland' and it does seem to fit in on the album pretty well. Was never a fan of 'Gangland' though I've always seen it as the weakest song on the album.

Agree with Urban about Invaders, I like the song but its real B-side material and shouldn't have been the album starter. There are a number of songs on there such as Gangland which I'm certain were written with for Paul Di'Anno, in general the Steve Harris compositions that he wrote on his own are what makes the album great. Tracks like Children of the Damned, Run to the Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name are some of the greatest metal songs ever written. The album without any doubt set a high-water mark for metal in the early 1980s.
The album draws parallels with Judas Priest's British Steel, as both Maiden and Priest fans are bonkers are the couple of albums that followed these, rather than the two albums that made those albums possible.

Revolver by The Beatles. It's boring, patchy and apart from "Here, There and Everywhere" is undeserving of the respect it is given....

There's also the "Geddy Lee's voice" argument. If his voice annoys you, there is nothing anyone can do to convince you they are a great band.

Well we used to smoke a lot of pot in the 70's; I mean a LOT, and Rush played nice long, complicated songs, so you didn't have to get up off the floor and flip the record over very often. You kids today have it so easy with your digital this and that, and your pot is better too....
