I can't stand the singles on it and there are a few tracks that don't do a lot for me but Bullet The Blue Sky, Trip Through Your Wires and Mother Of The Disappeared are damn good tracks.

What's the deal with Soundgarden's Superunknown? A lot of people call it their best, but I think it's not on par with earlier stuff.

I prefer Badmotorfinger and Ultra Mega myself so i'm inclined to agree. Soundgarden hit big with a wider fanbase on Superunknown so theres the answer i guess.

Contrary to the earlier post I find side 2 to be the best of Joshua Tree. Running to standstill, Trip through your wires and Exit are awesome songs with some deep lyrics and emotion. Definitely one of U2's best offerings.

Yeah, "Trip Through Your Wires" is one of my favorite U2 songs.

Their appeal just hit so many people. I am unsure if Beatlesmania will survive another decade or two, despite those that think they may be revered for generations or centuries or so on. They will make music history books, but the % of living people in the world that listren to/like the Beatles will drop drastically over the course of the following years. Sadly, I suppose. Even at this stage, kids today know the Beatles because of the age old 'their parents' listened to them

more like Granparents now!

Joshua Tree is a great album. Along with Achtung Baby.

Badmotorfinger is, imo, their best.

Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band is an above-average album at best. I never understood the hype around this album. The album is praised for its influence on music which I find rubbish. Other albums of its time had a much more profound effect on the future of quality music.

Which albums?

If I remember correctly, Pet Sounds was a influenced by Revolver. Sgt Peppers isn't my favorite Beatles album, but it certainly isn't rubbish. There really is no denying the impact that the Beatles had on the world of popular music.
