Yeah, and as I mentioned in my post you are not alone, Janszoon. It is good, but just not as monumental as its reputation suggests.

Everytime I'm in a mode where I'm listening to stuff like Gary Numan, Kraftwerk and The Idiot I wind up throwing Low on. After a several minutes of skipping track after track I begin to remember why I don't listen to it much.

I'm actually quite the same way. I got Low way before I listened to Kraftwerk or anything Low took inspiration from, but now that I do listen to them I rarely want to put Low on. I respect David Bowie for attempting it, and by all accounts he pretty much succeeded...I just really feel like listening to other things.

I went the opposite way and got Low after all that other stuff, which might be why I've always been disappointed by it.

I've not heard this one in a while, so I need to revisit it. I tend to revisit albums I didn't like a while ago, and I end up liking them. But I never got the fuss about this album, it sounded quite mediocre to me.

I can see why it might seem over-rated. I've not heard it for years 'cause I hate it's politics but it's highlights are very high, so to speak. Damaged goods is the one for me.

This album has some of the best lyrical content of anything ever written, brilliant guitar work on each and every song, and the things the bass and drums do are orgasmic. Go love it.

I think I remember the lyrics being some what underwhelming. I'll give it another listen later and see if my opinion of it has changed.
