There's nothing wrong with Pigs on a Wing really, it's just not on par with the 3 main songs of the album. That's more along the lines of what I meant. I don't think Money is either a drop in quality from the rest of the album or out of place regarding the theme of the album. Where I live Money doesn't get any more overexposure Time or Brain Damage/Eclipse, but DSOTM is the album that really got me into music for serious and for that I'll always have a ridiculous amount of affection for it despite how popular it is. I don't see anything wrong with Wish You Were Here either, it's just popular. I just think people hate on specific songs like Money because of their popularity, when people say "Money" or "ABITWP2" is their worst song I can't take them seriously. Nobody would think it if they weren't hella popular. I mean seriously, if those songs weren't popular I don't think anyone could honestly think "yep, this is totally worse than Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast and Dogs of War". |

Thanks for the advice regarding my devil genre. I'll be sure to give Rush a listen because they have been the most appealing prog rock band I've heard. I'll give Krautrock a listen as well.
If it doesn't happen then meh, at least I can say I've tried. |

What Crimson have you heard?
Anything from the John Wetton era? Cobain had nothing but positive things to say about Red. |

Yeah, I agree...if you haven't listened to Red then you definitely should. One of the most accessible yet still truly prog albums around, in my opinion. Everything clicks perfectly on that album...

I think I heard Starless and Bible Black and another album, don't think I've heard Red. I'll be sure to give it a try, I think accessibility is the key if you're gonna appreciate prog rock.

Red In the Court of the Crimson King In that order. Then after that you will have a good idea if you will like them enough to further explore them.
