Oh yeah.

Unfortunately Comus isn't around to update the first post which has an index of all the reviews made so far, I suggest that one of the mods update it every now and then.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Pavement - Crooked Rain Crooked Rain

Well, I've only listened to this about 3 times and I'm the type of person who could call an album shit/overrated/*insert appropriate insult here* (see Loveless and The Velvet Underground & Nico as prime examples) however I heard this album was brilliant, and Indie is my taste but I didn't get this album.. What am I missing?

Anyone have a clue why this album is heavily praised?

As is the answer to probably most questions in this thread, maybe you're not missing anything and you just don't like it.

It's one of the first albums to incorporate emotional lyrics with hardcore music. In other words, one of the first emo albums.

Why people say that about Rites Of Spring has always mystified me.

Husker Du were doing that at least 3 or 4 years before them.

That's the thing! I liked bits and bobs of it, but I didn't like it as a complete piece of work, and like I said I'm the type of person to dislike an album, revisit it a few times and then fall for it. I just feel like I'm missing something..

Only album I've heard from Pavement so maybe I'm listening to the wrong one to try and get into them.
