SCIENCE is definitely the album to check out by them. Make Yourself has some good songs on it too but is a little hit-or-miss and it was all downhill with them after that.

I would probably be totally cool with Incubus if my friends didn't shove them down my throat 24/7. With that said though, their early stuff (Make Yourself, Morning View) is infinitely better.

I second that, which really speaks about how far the genre has gone to pots because I'm not even into them. I've been getting into some more hip-hop lately and it's the same problem. Has the radio always been like this?

I can't really think of an appropriate category for them, you could call their first two albums funk metal. And while their later albums were more mainstream, it's still hard to attach them to a specific genre.

But whatever they are, it sure as hell ain't nu metal, and I'm seriously tired of hearing people say that. They have a DJ, so the f*ck what?

Nu metal bands are for super horny macho man frat boys. Incubus are way too girly to be nu metal.

Stop? I think that's the first comment I've ever made on MB about that album. But it is really, really bad. One of those interest killer type of albums. You know, albums that are so awful they pretty much make you lose all interest in a band.

Was it the first thing you heard from them?

Make Yourself was the first, then CLOTM, and then Morning View.

I just think it's their best, or at least on par with Science. I think it's their most consistantly good album, seriously.

I think the deeper tracks especially is among their best work, like Just a Phase, Mexico, Under My Umbrella and Aqueous Transmission.

I know people tend to say it's boring and pretentious. But that's right up my alley I suppose.

well i just listened to some of Morining View, courtesy of Youtube:

YouTube - Incubus - Morning View Sessions

the only real thing keeping me from liking them is the vocalist. i HATE his singing.

other than that, they're good
