Really though, it's just the way she uses her voice, basically as if it was an instrument. She's not the only vocalist that does this, but certainly one of the only ones that dosen't do it in a "they do my songs on American Idol" kind of way. |

Funny, I was playing that album on a car ride just the other day.
I dunno how you can not like it. I certainly don't know how you can find it boring if you like all that sedated folk stuff that Ethan and Swim are so crazy about. Buckley is an amazing singer, not just in a technical sense, he just has one of the best voices. He also comes up with these gorgeous little guitar parts that serve the songs just wonderfully. Grace just has a very heavenly etheral sound to it, by far one of the best albums of the 90s, and Buckley was probably the most promising singer/songwriter of that era. Yeah that's right. Ive listened through Grace atleast 3 times and cant see the big deal either, sure he has a good voice but everything else seems pretty boring for me. Maybe I have to listen to it AGAIN. And to Jackhammer: I'd rather bang Elliott Smith
