Can I absolutely adore The Olivia Tremor Control, while still thinking Circulatory System is incredibly boring? Because I do.

The only CS song I like is 'Yesterday's World', the rest of it is boring as hell, there's no hooks, its like if Olivia Tremor Control wasn't catchy or good at songcraft at all, which is a great deal of their appeal to me.

Ha, sure. Just surprises me. I thought Circulatory System's self-titled sounded like another OTC album, just not quite as good. Still had a number of catchy songs to me, it just wasn't genius.

I know I had problems getting into the Stones until I got over all that "greatest rock band in the world" crap. Forget about how good they're supposed to be. Let It Bleed and Sticky Fingers might not be the greatest albums ever, but there's some great stuff between those two records. Can't You Hear Me Knocking is their hidden gem, and it's far better than the tired Stones stuff that everyone's heard a thousand times (Start Me Up, Satisfaction, Get Off Of My Cloud, Brown Sugar).

I've never got the idea that Bjork is unaccessible. There's a few moments like Medulla and Volta but even then it's not Cpt Beefheart territory or anything. Post is just an aural delight.

I'm a big fan of Homogenic and Selmasongs myself.

Seriously? I just love the whole chuck it in a pot and see what comes out of the other side approach to the album. It's genre crossing yet still catchy and cohesive.

Sublime has two good songs. The rest are mediocre at best, yet I know so many people who revere them.

I wouldn't say I revere them but their self-titled album is pretty solid, IMHO.
