Definetely Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Hoobastank, All-American Rejects, etc.
Their lyrics have no depth and they aim their music at middle school girls. How "hardcore" are they? They shouldn't even be in the rock category.

don't think green-day ever claimed to be 'hardcore' did they? they've always been a group of fun, cartoon punks. where do you think they should go?

It was sarcasm. I think all of those bands are trying to be badass or something but they're not. That was my point.
