Will any of today's rock, become classic rock 30 years from now? Between what years/decades, is classic rock considerd. where does the era of classic rock begin & end? Alot of songs I have chosen are personal classic's to me anyway, not neccesarly classic's by the media, etc. Maybe you could explain how classic rock is classified as being within one era only? Not being sarcastic, just opend minded. I am always willing to learn something new everyday, because I by far, dont know all there is to know about music. I have a habit at following no certain set rules when it comes to music. Mainly personal opinion, from years of musical observation. And as a musician. (I mainly just meant to suggest at picking whatever single, that you consider one of your favorite all time rock covers period. Regardless of all the red tape) Maybe I should had posted a more viable headline. Peace.

Well its true that 30 years from now the stuff we listened to now will be considered classic but I think it will be a different sort of classic rock, no idea what they'll call it. I consider classic rock stuff from the 60s/70 like Beatles, Zeppelin, Floyd etc. Tomorrow I'll write up a list for this thread of my top 100 or 50 singles.

Strait,I know what your saying Bro, Some consider classic rock from the 50s era, Muddy Waters era, etc. quote: I once heard it said, "If you play a Telecaster/Strat. You play an influence of Buddy Holly". It will be great to see your list CQ. Thanks for the input

Someone should rename this Classic Singles or Classsic Rock Singles because it's kind of weird as is. Just saying.

Done and moved to general music to include all genres if VocalBass has no complaints.

Thank You CQ, I was unable to change the original headline, etc., myself. Maybe there will be replies to classic singles (Songs). Title & Artist? Now that is not so hard for some to interpret the original header..lol... I should had been a 'Brain Surgeon', instead of a musician.
