Haha, I have many to add. This is just my first list:

Camel - Mirage
Caravan - In the Land of Grey and Pink
Caravan - For Girls Who Grow Plump in the Night
Gentle Giant - In A Glass House
Genesis - Selling England By the Pound
Robert Wyatt - Rock Bottom
David Bowie - Hunky Dory

EDIT: Second list:

Gong - You
Gong - Angel's Egg
Yes - Close to the Edge
Pentangle - Cruel Sister
Deep Purple - In Rock
Deep Purple - Machine Head
Led Zeppelin - Houses of the Holy
Allman Brothers Band - Eat a Peach
Allman Brothers Band - Brothers and Sisters
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Cosmo's Factory
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Between Nothingness and Eternity
Herbie Hancock - Mwandishi
Herbie Hancock - Thrust

There should probably be some Van Morrison up there because I've heard nothing but stellar comments about his early 70s material. But I haven't listened to the albums myself, so I'm not suggesting them yet. Just putting it out there... maybe someone has listened to them?

EDIT 2: Got rid of some unknown albums like Fuzzy Duck's S/T and the doubles.

I put some of his up there and I've listened to them. I doubt they'll all make it on the final list but I think Veedon Fleece is top 100 worthy.

Ok, we have it down to 116 unordered albums. We're going to look at getting rid of some krautrock because we have loads on there... 2 Can albums, Amon Duul, Faust, Neu!, Ash Ra Tempel, Cluster, Kraftwerk... Might shave off a couple of other prog albums too.

Long as you keep the Serge Gainsbourg album in there somewhere, I'm a happy man!
