People in their 40's
people in their 40's like me tend to have pretty close minded views of music. if i meet one more person my age who only listens to classic rock, i'm going to spit.
|
I'm 47 and I'm really not saying this to be rude but the poeple you know must suck at music. I have tons of friends in their 40s that are not fixated on classic rock.
SCHOOL THEM !! |
Personally, I don't think most people open up musically until they get out of their 20's.
Present company (MB) excepted. |
Hmm..no offense to any geezers present, but I too have noticed a definite preference to older music in our senior citizens. Which is why I'm so pleasantly surprised when I run into someone different.
|
I prefer teh older tunes
|
Did it cross your mind that's cos they have access to a lifetime of extended listening Marijan?
|
That doesn't matter, I'd like to think that I'll keep up with the current music scene no matter what age I am. Older folk seem a bit weary in that respect.
Of course, this could all be my usual late night talking-out-of-my-ars-because-I'm-bored-ness...:yeah: |
Which it is...
...unless you intend to dump everything you've heard to date, when you turn 30. No more Arctic Monkey's? No Shins? Need I go on... |
Listening to older music doesn't necessarily have to exclude discovering new music...:)
I should also note that I don't listen to Nirvana or Stone Temple Pilots nearly as much as I did 10 years ago...;) |
^perhaps you should tell my local radio station that, they spin that shit like it's a new release
