Hard choice because one could argue Death and Isis are equally innovative. I am going to go with Death on this one because I think what they did for death metal was a little bit more then what Isis did for Post-Metal. Really hard though because each band has one of my top albums:

Isis: Panopticon
Death: Symbolic
