Of course they would. Any HQ equipment will reveal limitations. Hell even my ipod touch sounds awful sometimes with low bit rate but what I am saying is that if you get an album from the net that is not paid for then u shouldn't complain at all and be thankful that you have it.

Some albums I have are vinyl rips because they have never even been released on CD so I am grateful I can at least listen to it and then seek out another version or buy the damn thing and if it is good enough then I will always endeavour to do that.

MP3 V2 is usually fine, but I try to get lossless if I know and like the music. V0 if it's something I've never heard of.
