If it isn't clean, I'm not going to play it myself.
Takes a while, it's 2 LP's.
Going to get it right now.

s_k 01-27-2011 04:57 PM

Allright, it's running.
http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n...ziek/dylan.jpg
I cleaned it (had to clean it anyway, cleaning all the records I record from now on) with my "okki nokki". I didn't make that name up. The cleaning device is actually called okki nokki. It's not going to sound any better than this. It's a 43 year old vinyl, it's not perfect, but it's still very enjoyable :)

ThePhanastasio 01-27-2011 05:27 PM

I lost a lot of my music when my computer crashed, and I know that this is a super long-shot, but:

Does anyone have the 1996 free jazz album, Surrender To the Air? I can't find my actual hard copy of it, and can't find it anywhere online - plus I can't buy it right now. Although I really, really want to listen to it. I will be able to buy it in the next few months, but it'd be killer if someone had it already and could hook me up with a link -
I would totally love you forever.

s_k 01-27-2011 05:30 PM

I'm downloading something that might be what you're looking for.
If it turns out to be right, I'll put it on my server and send you a link (it consists of two mediafire pages now, bit of a hassle, I don't mind doing it for ya ;))

s_k 01-27-2011 05:50 PM

Allright. Are the tracks called something like "Intro", "And furthermore", "down", "out"?
Cause if they are, I probably have what you're looking for :)

Ska Lagos Jew Sun Ra 01-28-2011 04:48 AM

I'm wanting to explore Bob Drake's works beyond Thinking Plague but they're incredibly hard to find. Apart from the first "The Science Group" CD.

I'm looking into anything:

5uus
Bob Drake Solo
Science Group after that (Particularly 'Spoors')

Don't know if many people have these, or if they're more collector's items for overly obsessive RIO fanboys such as myself. But, it's worth a shot.

PM for you too :)

rocksann 01-28-2011 08:44 AM

I really want to pick up all of Patto's albums, especially on vinyl, but I already know at least one isn't available in the U.S.!

ThePhanastasio 01-28-2011 11:00 AM

s_k: Thank you so much! I was dying to listen to that, but couldn't find it anywhere!!

s_k 01-28-2011 01:19 PM

:)
14 years of internet experience and counting.
If it exists, it's probably somewhere on the internet ;D.

Palatable Vera 01-28-2011 01:47 PM

Major thanks.

s_k 01-28-2011 01:52 PM

Welcome.
Is your download done?
In that case I shall shut down my server :)

Palatable Vera 01-28-2011 02:20 PM

Not yet, actually.

Uh... That was an early thanks.

s_k 01-28-2011 02:35 PM

:d.

Hi guys.

Right...

I've been after Jonathan Fire*Eater - Wolf Songs for Lambs for what seems like eons. My countless traipses through blogs have yielded no results, much to my frustration.

Can anybody help me out here??

you may be the best person to ask as the band is from The Netherlands
Solbakken - Pinanti and Klonapet

they did a "fishtank" session with The Black Heart Procession and the album is amazing....i soooo badly want to hear what they sound like on their own

Bulldog 02-04-2011 10:28 AM

A bit of a strange request this, but here goes.

If anyone can upload and send me an MP3 of Let Love Come Between Us by James & Bobby Purify at a bit-rate of 320kbps, or at least over 200, that'd be immensely cool of you. It's one of my favourite northern soul numbers y'see, and the version I've got is absolutely terrible as far as sound quality goes.

Ta.

It goes 128, 192, 256, 320 most of the time :).
So i suggest you should say 'at least 192'.
(which is my absolute minimum too)

The word "Solbakken" appears to be Norwegian, but the band is indeed dutch
I did find some stuff on soulseek and am trying to download it now.
This is a tough one, though :)

bob. 02-04-2011 11:35 AM

 thank you soooooo much

s_k 02-04-2011 11:50 AM

Easy now, easy. It's not starting yet.
Don't think this is going to work, but who knows.

I can buy the CD's here for about 9 dollars and ship them to you. Haven't got a clue how expensive that would be though.

bob. 02-04-2011 11:53 AM

thats what is crazy....they are not out of print....but i cannot find them here in the states....it may come down to that....perhaps you can send me that and some of that beer :)....and i'll return the favor....let me figure out finances and we'll talk :)

s_k 02-04-2011 01:52 PM

If it fits through the letterbox it's a LOT cheaper than if it doesn't.
So the beer won't be an option :).
If I don't include the boxes (I hope it's no digipacks) I don't think it'll be more than 5 dollars to send it to you :).
They have four albums by the way :D
With the beer it would be... About 20 dollars.

It'd make my day if a little Gene Krupa was sent my way.

crukster 02-19-2011 09:23 AM

I'm looking for a Turkish rock album, "Orient Express" by "Kobra" year 1983.

Any help is much appreciated.

Chrysalis 02-20-2011 10:25 PM

Ozric Tentacles-Jurassic Shift
Only download link that I found was in 160kbps, and I want the album in a higher quality.

Banksy 02-21-2011 07:57 PM

After anything by Frou Frou, Imogen Heap's side-project, right now. Anything at all would be nice. ^^

s_k 02-22-2011 03:56 AM

Ehm, did a little search and fount their discography very, very easy.
Can you download torrents yourself?
Please PM me so I can help if you can't :)

Banksy 02-22-2011 11:00 AM

Huh. Weird, I can use them but I couldn't seem to find a good torrent for it. If it was very easy then I'll look around a bit more. Never mind then, thanks anyway.

s_k 02-22-2011 11:24 AM

Pm :)

s_k 02-22-2011 12:37 PM

Banksy has received a PM from me.

Banksy 02-22-2011 03:54 PM
