The best value CD you've ever bought

what was it?

mine was Underworld's Beaucoup Fish, for 51 aussie cents.

(when you post yours, its gotta be the price you paid for the album, and it had to be brand new at the time you purchased it from a store. you cannot list second-hand albums or albums that you have won in competitions)

Rockafella Skank 01-11-2004 10:51 AM

I guess presents don't count? :)

I thought long and hard about it, but I don't think I've ever purchased a cheap CD under like $9.99 at BestBuy or something like that. I wish I could say I had.

AudioBully 01-11-2004 10:05 PM

(BTW, 51 aussie cents is equal to about 38cents American)

Lol, I've stolen a couple CD's in my day. But I guess that doesn't count.
*NOTE* bad idea kids, I just got lucky.

Sound Devastation 09-10-2006 02:23 PM

best VALUE..

Kayo Dot - Dousing Anemone With Copper Tongue 2x12" (blue/blue/blue pressing) came with a beautiful limeted edition t-shirt... for $45

considering the quality of the music and the time and money spend on the release i would have happily pay over $80 for it.

cheapest... its cheap for me buying stuff from the states, so probably some $9.99 album through amazon.

I somehow managed to get 23 CDs for £115 in London a couple of years ago because the girl behind the counter was useless at using tills & was more interested in chatting up her co-worker than serving me

It was something like that, they were getting rid of a bunch of albums that had been sitting on the shelf for ages.

war_rabbit 09-10-2006 03:57 PM

they had Against me! and Propaghandi sittin on shelves
for ages?????????

sleepy jack 09-10-2006 04:00 PM

Yeah, there was an anti-nowhere league album in there too, I didn't grab it I don't listen to the much aside from I Hate People. Frankenchrist was there to, the only albums that typically sell there are like, HIM, Atreyu and other crappy metalcore bands and all that faux-emo.

Lesbian crime spree 09-18-2006 02:26 PM

there is no such thing as a good value cd.

if you bought it, you were ripped off.

if you were paid money to take it, then you should throw it away and invest the money into making sure it never comes back.
