I love the beatles but I don't own the white album, it's way too expensive, it's like 40 bucks!!! I've been looking everywhere for a used copy but they're very hard to come by. But I guess that makes sense, who would want to part with it?

I love Abbey Road. I love the song Something but more than that, I love the way if you listen to the album from start to finish it sounds as if that was the way it was meant to be listened to. It really is genius.
It was my favourite album for years and years before I discovered the Red Hot Chili Peppers. |

their the second best- behind led zeppelin. the beatles did start it all, but for a rock 'n' roll band they also had a lot of number 1's 27 in fact. now i kno with rock chart success is'nt important but for a band loosely arounf this genre to acheive that is amazing. plus their psychedelic stuff ****ing rocks.

The Beatles didn't start it all. They were the first globally mainstream pop band sure, but they got there by being four pleasant looking white chaps who happened to be able to play black peoples music. They were the acceptable face of music at the time, and the way in which they dressed the same and got their faces on any product they possibly could was exactly the same as the way in which boy bands work today. George Martin's production skills gave them a massive edge, they were able to spend more on producing a record than anyone else, marketing a record, and their live shows lasted sometimes less than half an hour.

you try making a new stile of music completely different than what has already been done with no influences either and have millions of people fall in love with it than I’ll agree with you. the beetles hade nothing to go off everything they made was completely original

They were copying the style and sound of Little Richard, Chuck Berry et al. They bought it to a mass market, yes, but they certainly weren't creating anything original, they just happened to be playable because they were white, in a time when black musicians were certainly not approved of by white, middle class families.
