Well if were saying that then surely any band is radio friendly if any of their songs are played on the radio. so, guns'n'roses, metallica, **** even korn are radio-friendly material i am told.
My original point still stands, The only good thing to come out of the beatles was an aspiring singer by the name of "Ozzy".... Music today is so corrupt with money and the amount of editing that gets put in, in 20 years i wouldnt be surprised if were are listening to electronica. Still, better that than britney spears i suppose.

not all music is corrupt and full to the brim with studio electronics. a lot of music hyped by the media is yes, and some bands even use electronics in a progressive format (mars volta, radiohead etc), theres a lot of underground music thats fresh and raw (the garage rock scene) yet nobody knows of some of these bands because they are not commercialised in the way the punk-pop and nu metal bands are.

i am aware of these bands, as my colleague spencer who i feel is a better drummer than most of the cheeky ****ers that get into the business today is part of a band playing just for the thrill of it.
and you know what really pisses me off, R.A.T.M, yea i loved their music, wow they had an amazing message, then i find out they were charging $50 a ticket to their shows when all this time theyd been singing about commercialism and how money corrupts fragile people, sickening,

Lennon and McCartney fair enough, let it be was a good song, and Imagine was an anthem. However the beatles themsselves were so overrated for their talent. I can understand people liking them but my original point was to how overrated they were for such a mediocre band. My friend can play the bass tracks after 3 years so your mate needs to either give up or learn a bit faster.
