If I had to say one album then it would be....SGT PEPPERS. I have stated before that technically it's a great album, but there are a lot of tracks on there I don't like. Unfortunately the majestically brilliant A DAY IN THE LIFE does make a mockery of my argument, but then WHEN I'M SIXTY FOUR redress's the balance!

Remember the purpose of sixty four and the recent irony of him being divorced at said age.
Question: "Will you steal need me, will you still feed me?" Answer: "No I'll be taking an eight figure sum of your Beatles money instead." Also I believe that song was written so the Liverpudlians had something to play in case of equipment failures. Either way I like Peppers better then Rubber Soul and I think that addresses a point you made. Music is very personal and even a Band you love makes music you're less enthusiastic about from time to time regardless of how the majority views it. |

Sgt. Peppers isn't my favorite. I like Revolver and Rubber Soul best, but honestly I don't understand why so many people trash it, it has some of my favorite Beates songs on it and I think its a fairly solid release. Do you think if Lennon had been labelled the force behind it would it be rated higher?

People hate Sgt Peppers only because it influenced prog. Simple as that.

To me, that's a damn good reason to love it.
