Alt-Press would be my favorite mag. Blender is alright, but has way too much garbage in it.

Music Magazines
Do you have a favorite music magazine? I've been looking for one to subscribe to and am not sure which to get.
I tried Rolling Stone for a year and was pretty disappointed because there was so much celebrity news, movie review, TV stuff, etc. Not enough music. Seriously, Snookie was on the latest cover. That's not what I want from a music magazine. Anyway, NME looks great but it's insanely priced, especially to have it shipping to the states. Is Spin a good one? |

Yeah, I know. You're probably right. I'm already on NME quite a bit and have just joined this site so it might not be worth it. But if anyone happens to know of a fantastic magazine that is worth it, then I'd like to check it out.

I've been looking into this as well, because I hate not having tangible mail at least once a month or so.
My research has led me to: Under the Radar Indie music, apparently well-written. Your choice of a free album with your subscription. Right now, the albums you can choose from are: Bright Eyes - The People's Key; Ladytron - Best of 00-10; Smith Westerns - Dye It Blonde; Yuck - Yuck. Seems like a good deal. Mojo Really in depth coverage of a variety of artists from numerous genres - straight up music. Relix Covers a lot of stuff in the jamband genre, so I'm interested in it for sure. Also, blues, bluegrass, jazz, and other similar genres.
