Why's it a no-no? Pop rap and contemp r&b tend to be quite closely related both in terms of musical form and production. It is expected that they'd be produced together.

Anyway, Justin's got a lot of good goin' for him.

Whatever about Justin Timberlake the solitary artist, Future Sex / Love Sounds is a manufactural masterpiece imo. I just cannot fathom how anyone can fault Timbaland's production on that album.

Justin Timberlake is slowly shadowing the career of George Michael. Probably unintentionally but the link is obvious. Both left boybands to pursue a more serious 'mature' image.
