So? This is a music board. We're all(Well, almost all) serious music fans. Very, very few of us will stop liking a band because of their commercial success. If they become commercial in the process then that's very different.

No you dont you just have an automatic dislike for any music even on the cusp of being mainstream, its drilled into your subconscience. You cant appear to have any favour of a popular artist because of a fear of losing any credibility among fellow chin strokers who purposely only advocate obscure and little known artists.
