I'd start with just like, rock/hip hop/r&b... like, Gwen Stefani, Pussy-cat dolls, Nelly Furtado, All american rejects, Fall out boy, Paramore, Kanye west, Fergie(lol) .... nothing wonderously inspiring and great, but a good place to start... not completely "new" either... -shrug-
