James LaBrie. I agree though Merkaba, Petrucci is much more experienced in music than LaBrie. But that's my opinion. Im sure a lot of you enjoy LaBrie. I just find him too...non-satisfying to say the least.
He turns them from a pretty good band to a mediocre band.

Petrucci does have some tasteful stuff like Glasgow Kiss. Even so, I always thought he was one of the more melodic shredders out there.

you can definately see that he is very melodic with his playing. but i dont think it goes with the vocalist of DT very well. if John Petrucci were in a different more mellow band, i believe he'd have a bettter time with them than he does now.
