i enjoyed it while i was listening to it, but aside from the handful of standouts i feel it borders on being forgettable. i'm sure i'll listen to it again but it's not making any AOTY lists for me.

Great goddamn idea. **** slaps like nothing else. Beats out Dark Witch in terms of 2018 industro rock, although they aren't really comparable.

Jan Jelinek ‎– Zwischen

Zwischen brings together twelve sound poetry collages using interview answers by public figures.
Each collage consists of the brief moments between the spoken words: silences, pauses for breath
and hesitations in which the interviewees utter non-semantic sound particles. These voice collages
also control a synthesizer, creating electronic sounds that overlay and merge with the voices to make
twelve acoustic structures.

Chi no Hibiki - Higashi Yuroppa wo Utau by Geinoh Yamashirogumi

may already be well known but I love this group. this is their take on (mostly) polyphonic Eastern European choral singing. No other instruments required or needed.

My mum used to make a traditional Ukrainian meal for Christmas and would take us to bless the food at the Orthodox church. It was a brilliant church and this album is reasonably similar to the chorus sections they had there. I woudnt categorize myself as religious, but I'm fascinated by the music it's produced
