I discovered this guy the same year of this release and have been a big fan since. Mix up some warm IDM, downtempo and instrumental hip-hop beats and you get this masterpiece. He just put out a new album and I'm revisiting his past releases, this being my favorite. The live drums throughout this album really make it special.

Well, if Sidewinder and Jansz say it's good, I'll be listening to it, too.

Father John Misty - Fear Fun

I started listening to this about a week ago I believe, and it is one of my favorite albums now probably. The amazing singing voice and hint of humor add so much to almost every song, It came out in 2012 and is the first album he has released under the name "Father John Misty". I highly recommended this to anyone that likes very relaxed indie rock, folk, or folk rock. Hell, just go out and listen otherwise, it's great! The entire album is on YouTube.

(I would post it but I need to post more first according to an error)

Yeah, that's a great album for fans of Fleet Foxes and My Morning Jacket.

Definitely worth a listen for both of you.

I'm not sure what Alpine is. I think you may have me confused with someone else (unless I'm totally forgetting something). Maybe it's something I should check out though!

All good... As long as the band is getting some love. They are pretty damn good.

Fleet Foxes yes, My Morning Jacket I fail to hear why fans of them would enjoy Father John Misty. I'm sure they would, it's just an odd comparison.

Think Slayer mixed with Fun. That's how they sound.
