Yeah I can definitely say their new album didn't do much for me, although I'm not as big a National fan as other people so I don't think my opinion counts for much. It wasn't bad, but I really can't remember much about it and I really don't have much drive to re-listen and see if I missed something.

That's how I feel, but I love The National. I feel like I owe it to them out of loyalty to force it and see, but at the same time, I've got a lot of new items to move forward through.

I actually like them a fair bit. But I don't wanna listen to something that seems to be more of the same, just not as good - especially if it takes a few listens to start liking it.

I know how much you've got to work through, heh. Always moving forward. I feel like I have the same juggling act.

It didn't take me long to like it. It's not a big departure from High Violet or anything but to me it feels a little bit mellower and slightly more depressing than the former. The only thing I feel it lacks is an uptempo tune like 'Mr. November' or 'Mistaken For Strangers' to give the album a bit of dynamic but at the same time not interrupt the flow of the album.

The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation (2013)

Insanely infectious and endearing pop-punk. I can't stop listening to this record and it's my favourite album of this year. and there's been a lot of great albums already.

I find it their most depressing album, lyrics and just how sad he sounds wise. To anyone skeptical about giving it a listen, just do it. I was in the same boat but now I can't stop listening to it. It's not as good Boxer, not even High Violet, but it fits perfectly in The National's catalogue.

Nothing about The National's sound appeals to me. I listened to High Violet once and nearly died of boredom.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Toundra- III

Fantastic post-rock band from Madrid. This album is one of those albums that really feels like a journey.

Beach House - Team Dream
I didn't get the memo on how rad Beach House is until recently. I have some catching up to do.
