^ That is my shit. http://cdn.7static.com/static/img/sl...159116_500.jpg Esplendor Geométrico - Comisario de la luz / Blanco de fuerza (1985) Pretty intense Industrial/Noise record. Heavy bass, looped noise/drums and quite a bit of variety between each track. Heard a few other of his albums/compilations and for the most part they maintain my enjoyment, but this is probably my favourite actual album of his so far. |

Combat Astronomy - Kundalini Apocalypse Some really good progressive jazz metal in the likes of Zu. This is quite a bit like their last album Flak Planet, but Kundalini Apocalypse has far more layers. It's heavy, jazzy and catchy. |
May be a compilation but Green Day's International Superhits! is doin' it for me at the mo.

The Besnard Lakes - Until In Excess, Imperceptible UFO God damn...so so good. These guys keep getting better with every album. It seems they figure out what they do best with each album they release, and instead of resulting in music that sounds the same, they explore those areas even more. This is way better than I could have expected, and I loved their last album The Besnard Lakes are the Roaring Night (also highly recommended). This time around, they beef up their atmospheric emotive side but keep their indie roots going strong, creating a pretty original sound. I'm on my second listen and I'll probably listen to it again before the day is up. |

I'm interested to know what you think once you've given it a listen. |
See I'm less into atmospheric stuff, that explains it. Wrapping up the last track now, and as a whole I think I liked this album better than ...Are the Dark Horse, but it's still too atmospheric for my tastes at the moment. I got bored with post-rock a few years ago because it was all the same mood from every band. I just found the first album a lot more interesting and rock-based which is what I like more. I thought the new album was fine enough just not what I'm looking for.

Various Artist - The Rza Presents Shaolin Soul Selection vol. 1
You know when you take Wu Tang mastermind The RZA and give him free reign of the vault at Stax Records the outcome is going to be some great Wu-Tang inspired soul music. http://hypetrak.com/images/2013/02/r...-selection.jpg |
