The odd little treasures you can find when you're lurking about bandcamp. These guys are a very mellow, post-hardcore quartet out of Pensacola, Florida. I love the lushly overdriven guitars; It's something I've been craving lately and I couldn't find the right flavor to save my life.

Just looking at their upcoming tour dates with them having only 3 gigs over the next 2 months, all of them in Pensacola, leads me think that they haven't ventured to far outward, but the quality of this five song EP really speaks of experience to me.

This youtube video, the only one that I found, Is a medley of the songs on the EP, it's not quite what I would've wanted to find, but it's actually pretty cool.

The EP is on Spotify and is quite excellent. Thanks for posting!

Yeah, I'm finding that even after a week or so I'm still cracked out on it, so it's bound to join the ranks of the few previously unheard of (by me) bands/albums who immediately upon listening got fast-tracked to maximum rotation in my playlist and stayed there, including this:

Arms and Sleepers - Matador

I've talked about them on here before, but I'm still digging it. Even after 2 years, I still listen to this album at least once a week. It's a great album, first song to last, and a very well produced, high-quality recording. Easily one of my favorite headphone albums.

It's like the musical equivalent of a spoiled rich kid: someone who's been given whatever they asked for their whole life, has never heard the word "no", and thus habitually makes bad personal decisions without regard for consequences.

Clams Casino - Instrumental Mixtape 2

Lovely work. He's just so good at making those cloud rap beats. Having lyrics over the top can ruin them at times.

Nice.

I want somebody to make a mashup of these two songs...

I think it would work so well.

Kurt Vile - Wakin on a Pretty Daze (2013)
Really digging this new album, even just after my first spin yesterday. I only learned about him with his 2011 album Smoke Ring for My Halo, which had a few great songs but several I didn't care for. This album is much more solid all the way through.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Kurt Vile is turning into this generation's Neil Young. Smoke Ring For My Halo was definitely a singles album, but this new one goes into some great jamming territory. I love how he takes the time to develop each song. It's a great album for sure.
