Beams - Matthew Dear Never a fan at first, but I'm starting to get really into it. Great electro-pop and Matthew's baritone voice is refreshing.

Dax Riggs - Say Goodnight To the World (2010) I've been listening to a lot of Acid Bath in the car this week so I decided to finally get around to listening to some of his solo material, starting with his newest stuff and working my way backwards. I gotta say this is a great album that I think a lot of people who enjoy the more blues laced rock from older White Stripes/ Black Keys could find themselves enjoying. Nothing too fancy, just good ol' blues/ alternative rock. |

People need to stop being so butt-hurt over this record. This is Muse' second best album in my opinion. OH NO IT HAS DUBSTEP! Get the stick outta your ass.

Paloma - EP Dos (2013)
The odd little treasures you can find when you're lurking about bandcamp. These guys are a very mellow, post-hardcore quartet out of Pensacola, Florida. I love the lushly overdriven guitars; It's something I've been craving lately and I couldn't find the right flavor to save my life. Just looking at their upcoming tour dates with them having only 3 gigs over the next 2 months, all of them in Pensacola, leads me think that they haven't ventured to far outward, but the quality of this five song EP really speaks of experience to me. This youtube video, the only one that I found, Is a medley of the songs on the EP, it's not quite what I would've wanted to find, but it's actually pretty cool. |

I didn't dislike it because it was a little bit dubstep, I disliked it because it sucks. Origin of Symmetry >>>>>>>Absolution>Showbiz>>>Black Holes>>>>>The Resistance>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> >>>>The 2nd Law. |

Duke Ellington - Ellington At Newport 1956 Just a fantastic big band Jazz record. A little long so I spliced it with a few other albums but I am pretty sure I could have just sat through it all in one sitting.
