I think Good Kid Mad City may well be my AOTY 2012 as well.

Is that Snowing album only two years old? I thought it had been around much longer than that, still agree with you that is it indeed awesome.

Haven't listened to We Were Promised Jetpacks in a while, kinda lost their novelty to me. Also I think Quiet Little Voices was featured in a film, so it may be more well known than you think. After a while, they seemed rather one dimensional to me.

I'll need to get that Joyce Manor album if it's in the same vain as Snowing's album.

No Love Deep Web - Death Grips

Death Grips are starting to become one of my favorite bands, and I think after a few more listens with this record, it could be my favorite of theirs.

New Brigade - Iceage

These Danish punks rock harder than most punk bands today, or post-punk, whatever. Second full length coming out this year. Stoked.

I'm not really sure, there isn't a whole lot of information out there on it and the punknews.org review is from late 2011.

I can see how their music could get very same-y--I think that's why their second album didn't seem to gain as much attention.

The Joyce Manor album is fantastic. They might not be quite as true to their emo roots as Snowing, but it doesn't matter...

I've been really busy so I haven't had time to grab the new My Bloody Valentine album yet, but oh lord I am excited for when I do.

Swirlies - They Spent Their Wild Youthful Days in the Glittering World of the Salons
Absolutely in love with this album recently. I just get totally lost in it. Sunn is a particular highlight.

Common - Be
Had this album for so long but I had never gave it a proper listen until this week. Great on so many levels. Common and Kanye make a really great team. It's so uplifting.

One of my favorite albums for sure. This is the album I throw on to impress people. Not many people have heard of the Swirlies. I put it on nonchalantly, no one wants to admit they don't know who it is, and once it hits "Sounds of Sebring" someone inevitably goes "Dude, who IS this?"...and another Swirlies fan is born.

This is by far their magnum opus, but if you haven't heard their other album I also recommend those. Blonder Tongue Audio Baton is right up there with Salons.

I actually think it might have been a post by you that made me download it a good eight months ago or something. Not sure though. Yeah I have Blonder Tongue Audio Baton and it's great but I prefer this one, underrated band for sure!

I absolutely fuggin' love the Cardiacs

I am a huge Autechre fan and agree that it could be their best work. And a double album at that...not many bands can pull it off and have it flow so well. The 2 discs have their own sound, which keep the album from dragging. It doesn't drag at all. Which, honestly, is a surprise considering the genre. Bravo, Autechre. Their best since Draft 7.30 - 10 years ago - in my opinion.

Biffy Clyro - Opposites
Maybe it's just the fact that this band come from my neck of the woods and I am pretty loyal but I really like this album. It's just great Alternative Rock songs all the way through, catchy songs but with a bit of meaning behind them as well. Not to mention the fact it's a double album and it doesn't drag at all and feels really natural. Spanish Radio in particular is great.

Ducktails - The Flower Lane

Great in the first half...starts to drag a little in the second but really great indie in general. Fans of Real Estate and Robert Smith's guitar playing should enjoy this.
