Chris Jericho talked about that band a lot in his second book. Totally respect the guy as a person and a wrestler, hell he was one of my inspirations to get into it, but as a musician. No. He's the frontman of 'Fozzy' so Helloween won't get a look-in from me.

I think you are better off going with Joy on this one. I've seen how stringently he gives out praise based on his RYM ratings alone. Must be at least interesting on some level.
And lots of crappy musicians/people who make crap music have great taste. Drake loves MF DOOM after all.

Mythical Beast - Scales Intense Psychedelic-Rock album. Reminiscent of Black Sabbath in terms of pacing and tone, but more psych orientated. Only a few tracks in but this is fucking fantastic.

^ Been previewing that actually...and so far, so good!
Boom Boom Satellites - Exposed (2007) A wonderfully noisy Japanese rock record that's sitting by itself somewhere at a rave table where The Chemical Brothers, New Order and a couple of 70's progressive rock giants all toast champagne together. Excellent stuff!
