One hearty recommendation for Sun Kil Moon's Ghosts of the Great Highway. Fantastic album.
I'm enjoying the poop out of Cloudkicker's discography. He's a one man show mainly doing things in the prog-metal/post-rock niche. It's all very melodic and well-produced. For fans of Isis, Pelican, etc From his latest, post-rock-y release, Fade. From an earlier, djent-y release, beacons. |

I think I've hyped this before but I'm re-digging Gravenhurst's 'Fires in Distant Buildings' Warp knows quality.

Julee Cruise - Floating Into the Night Somehow I only heard of this album recently. Absolutely amazing stuff. I can totally understand why David Lynch chose a few tracks to soundtrack Twin Peaks. (and I didn't know before listening, so that was a nice surprise)

Kendrick Lamar's Section. 80 and Good Kid Maad city
both fantastic hip hop albums. It's only a matter of time till Black Hippy make a full length album.
