Agalloch- The Mantle

I remember initially dismissing this album because of "I didn't like the clean vocals." I decided to give it another go, and I'm happy I did.

I've been listening to this album NON STOP for about a week now. I don't know what it is about it that I can't stop listening too. It's ****ing amazing.

The bass from 3:00 on is some of the best **** from young talent I've heard in a while.
I've been digging this since it came out... just about every song is perfect. It's also the only jazz album I've ever listened to that I could slamdance to.

Dragonforce - Inhumane Rampage. Especially "Through The Fire And Flames" and "Trail Of Broken Hearts."

Nails—Unsilent Death
Woah. I downloaded this a while back and finally got around to giving it a listen today at the gym. Holy crap is it good music to workout to! So much intensity. I love it. If you like raw, loud, angry hardcore/crusty type music then you might too.

Doldrums - Empire Sound

This EP comes from a guy who started off making crazy avant garde conceptual electronic music and then realized he actually had a knack for hooks. If I had to compare this to something, it would be a cross between Animal Collective and Grimes (but no, his voice is not squeaky and high pitched). Great stuff.

Unsane, Wreck. I saw this noise rock record on so many year-end list, I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. I'm going to be listening to this on and off for awhile, but I think it's only going to get better with consecutive listens.

Definitely the BEST ASMZ album But I think I like the Pretty Little Lightning Paw E.P. a bit more myself.
