Twelve Foot Ninja - Silent Machine (2012) Major props go to Anteater for posting this in his Album of the Year thread (I'd highly recommend checking out his entries) because this is a great Faith No More/ Dog Fashion Disco/ Mr. Bungle tribute while still being something more than a mere imitation. |

The Monitor - Titus Andronicus Can't get enough of this record, New Jersey punk at it's best. |
pink floyd's Darkside of the Moon , it's really just one timeless piece, paradoxically speaking about time

I'm enjoying a couple albums immensely. Soulwax - Nite Versions http://big-id.blog.so-net.ne.jp/_ima...e_versions.jpg Electro for people that hate electro. It's basically one big set full of cool samples, pounding synths and breaks, and a real alt-rock feel throughout. Probably the best thing with the label "house" attached to it I've ever heard. it just makes me want to ****ing dance. Recommended for anyone that likes Daft Punk, which is another way of saying recommended for everyone. Check out "Compute" if you're interested, it's my highlight from the album and it features a cool 8-bit-ish section 'round the latter half of the song that seamlessly merges with the vocals and beats from the first half. Ufomammut - Snailking http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_K9bTpIRSsR...6f29180808.jpg Immense, twisted stoner/doom from Italy. Miles better than their later release, "Idolum", in my opinion. The song "God" is a crushing epic that would turn the Melvins green with envy. And So I Watch You From Afar - S/T http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m6...7514_cover.jpg I think I've already posted this album here, but it's so effing good so I'm posting it again. Instrumental math/post rock that sounds almost sludgy at times with a riff a minute. Greatly looking forward to their new release in March. Highlights: Set Guitars to Kill, A Little Bit of Solidarity, If It Ain't Broke... oh, and... ASIWYFA just reconfirming the notion that you can't be a post rock band without a stupidly obnoxious name |

I know what you're talking about though. |

Did you ever listen to Gangs? I never got round to it and so have no idea if it was any good or not. |

BADBADNOTGOOD - BBNG2 I've been listening to this album NON STOP for about a week now. I don't know what it is about it that I can't stop listening too. It's ****ing amazing. The bass from 3:00 on is some of the best **** from young talent I've heard in a while. |
