If you haven't heard Dead Meadow, check out their self titled album...while not as authentic sounding as the two you posted (they have a lot of modern-isms), I'd say they are definitely hitting a 60's vibe with a lot of Sabbath influence.
Feathers is a far superior record.

I've heard some Dead Meadow but not too much (only Old Growth), and it's been a while. Maybe I'll throw some of that on now. When it comes to the more stoner type 60s stuff, there are quite a few I'm familiar with. Ty Segall is less stoner and more garage, but I've been listening to his stuff a good bit lately.

But I do prefer the psych pop stuff generally, it's more my style these days.

I'd love to see your signature/links too, but the huge and obnoxious ones have caused me to block all signatures.

Marion Brown - Geechee Recollections

Kinda free jazz, spoken word and avant-garde rolled into one. Pretty great at points. I need to get his album Vista though.

I'm about a little over halfway through it, and I can say that I have enjoyed what I've heard so far with this album. I won't have a problem listening to it another 2 or 3 times, it's definitely lighter than some previous albums, but I enjoy that side of them. 4/5 for first impressions.

Bong - Beyond Ancient Space

i really cannot describe this album....3 songs that are basically one song...as in the fact that i could never decipher a separation....amazing doom with even more amazing psychedelic.....with an apocalyptic western feel....think if old Earth fused with new Earth and took some acid with the 13th Floor Elevators....then jammed for a bit over an hour

thank you so much mojo!

I really liked that album too. I wasn't all that sold on their 2008 self-titled debut, but The Builders and the Butchers really made me believe in the band.
