Gonna have to step up on this one. I've been holding out, but it seems to be on every Rush fans radar, so i'm gonna bite the bullet.

Hop Along - Get Disowned

Awesome indie-rock/folk-punk album from start to finish. Probably in my Top 15 of the year so far.

Twin Shadow - Confess (2012)

Excuse the album art, and this is a great indie pop record. Complete with many a synth and catchy hook, this album may be one of the best I've heard this year.
Each track holds its own, and it's accessible enough for any type of music fan to appreciate it.
I reckon the scenesters will jump on this one fast.

I almost didn't listen to that one just based on the artwork. I'm glad I got over it, because it really is good.

A cult artist that gained a modicum of fame in the late 90's and is subject to a recent documentary of the same name even though the music is from 70/71. I am riding the bandwagon I admit but it's never too late to discover new names. If you like Bob Dylan then you would probably like Rodriguez's music although it's a lot more palatable than Dylans IMO.
