Sixto Rodriquez is an icon in South Africa, but never got any recognition in his native USA. In the early 70's anti-apartheid protesters really took a fancy to his music, which the WSJ describes as a cross between Cat Stevens and Bob Dylan. Still sounds pretty fresh, today.
