'Heavy in the Day' by Canterbury
This is the second album from this young UK rock band and it's seeing them move away from the electro side and go a bit more heavy rock. They're first album Thank You is free to download and that's how I first got into them. They will be supporting Deaf Havana on tour later this year. |

you still need to listen to the first one, at least, before getting this only then you'll appreciate how much better it sounds with modern technology |

Ty Segall Band - Slaughterhouse (2012) An awesome loud, fuzzed-out garage rock album. The production is almost perfect for this type of music, in that it's far from perfect and lends a ragged, chaotic and energetic feel to the music. It's a fun album to listen to and I'm pretty sure that 'Diddy Wah Diddy' was improvised on the spot in the studio. Great stuff. |

Great old school funky jazzy sound: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...-9a1MYGn7x0yh4 What may seem like yet another solo Jazz album showcasing his talent turns out to be an album with all sorts of influences going with a Rock edge in parts: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...AhNietQQ9iKdFh Wow. Just wow. Probably their best album yet, I really like how they don't sound like a lot of Metal bands out there: http://t2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...eRlTs9XOM7KmmT Decent British Post/Art Punk with a little Shoegaze thrown in there: |
