Deliciously retro electronic Pop but not the Poppy happy go lucky sound you associate with the genre. It's much more low key and reminds me of bands like The Passions or Propaganda if not in sound but certainly in terms of aesthetics.

Gorgeous Roots Reggae. 'nuff said.

Interesting collaboration between two prog-rock legends, with both sharing vocal/songwriting duties throughout the tracks. Lots of interesting influences sonically too, including early 80's ELO and Led Zeppelin.

I wondered if this was worth getting. Not a huge fan of Squire but I do like Hackett, and you have to love the amalgam of their names! Well, it's better than Hacksqui!

Good album? Worth getting?

I'd say it's pretty good! It's a tad more AOR-oriented than most prog fans would like, but if you like any of Hackett's solo stuff or Yes circa Drama (1980), I think you'll be right at home.

Onra, Long Distance

This is a crazy good electronic album. It utilizes samples from old R&B and funk, with tons and tons of awesome synths put firmly on top. It is incredibly danceable, wonderfully happy, and just plain fun. I usually enjoy darker records, but this is fantastic.

BADBADNOTGOOD, BBNG2

Okay. I've been name dropping these guys a lot... for good reason. They are so good I'm kind of in awe. There's a ton of hype around this jazz trio, so there's not much I can say. It's a jazz band with the philosophy of a punk band... but they want to play hip hop. There's shades of all kinds of things in here. Please, just listen to it.

This album is so bleak and depressing it should come with some kind of warning message. The whole album feels like it's draining your emotions and taking you to a place with no light whatsoever. It's hard to know whether the cover of 'Sunshine' at the end is meant to cheer you up or finish you off but at the end you can't help but feel miserable. This quickly became one of my very favourite albums. I absolutely adore this record. It is very depressing but I actually just find it more relaxing these days. Either way it is a stunning, sublime record.

The Samuel Jackson Five - Self Titled

Wow! Okay, I don't know if a lot of you have heard of this band but they're something else. They're from Oslo and broke onto the scene with an incredible sophomore album in Easily Misunderstood. I haven't listened to an album three times in a row in a LONG time. I couldn't torrent this so I bought it off iTunes which turned out to be well worth it. It's a great mix of jazz/post rock/progressive indie/and something I can't quite describe. Please check it out.
