Haha...that's pretty funny. Great, now that's all I'll be able to think about when I listen to them.

Kousokuya - 1st

Very dark psychedelic debut from a Japanese band known to have released only a handful of recordings. The music rumbles, groans and wails; it has a real atmosphere about it that's crystallized in the cavernous production. I found this while hunting down some Fu****susha - what a find. Apparently there are similarities, I can definitely hear Les Rallizes Denudes. If you're into your dark Japanese psychedelia, this is pretty essential.

Great quality Ska Punk that delivers on both fronts without drifting into that dreaded Pop Punk crap that annoys the crap out of me.

Some damn cool French Electro swing that puts a huge smile on my face.

From Melanie Garside, sister of Katie Jane Garside from Queen Adreena and Daisy Chainsaw. She has worked with her sisters band, the Medieval Babes, was in a Noise Rock band Our Lady Of Miracles and has made solo albums (which I am going to check out). This is sort of Electronic Pop with a dreamy edge. Very nice.

This was released... a year ago? Two years ago? I dunno. Anywho, Shipping News is a local post-punk/math-rock band in the vein of Slint (surprise surprise), with experimental sounds coming from every which way, heavy bass, ringing guitars, and mumbly singing. Anyway, I suddenly got in the mood to listen, so I have been.

This is another good one from them. It's three of their EPs consolidated into one LP.

Burial - Kindred EP

Wow, this album is absolutely gorgeous, particularily the title track. The whole album kind of reminds me of walking around in the rain at night, when there's not many other people out, and just thinking about your life. This is reflecting music, constantly straddling the line between hopeless and hopeful, but always filled with an energy that keeps you hooked in.

This is definately the best thing I've heard all year.
