Toe - For Long Tomorrow
Christ on toast this stuff can be beautiful. It has everything I want in Math Rock (playful guitars that don't break your ears like Lightning Bolt/Hella tend to, jazzy drumming, lots of acoustic guitar, fun instruments like the xylophone, and PIANO) and more-- I can see where the Post Rock tag came from. Big thanks to Phanastasio (or was it Kaimon? Can't remember now ) for mentioning this a couple pages back. |

Beach House - Bloom holy **** balls, this is my new "release of 2012". It's definitely Teen Dream 2, and since I loved Teen Dream, that's a very good thing. But I can't, for the life of me, figure out the beginning melody to "Lazuli". I always tap it wrong. |

^^^^ Love that album too. Not as good as Teen Dream though.
I am currently playing Nothingface by Voidvod, and it is kicking ass, but this is next on my playlist: Cunninlynguists - Oneirology

Nina Simones's "Ne Se Quitte Pas." Very smooth and laid back, mostly featuring simple piano and upright bass to accompany her deep voice. Wonderful. Joe Boyd Vigil's "Deep Space Bass." If anyone here watched Toonami back in the day, you know how awesome the music videos and Toonami commercials were. Drum n bass awesomeness. It was all made by Joe Boyd Vigil, an electronica artist. This is the album that brings it all into one collection. I'm probably just biased and nostalgic, but this album is fantastic.
