Such a good EP. Definately a good new band to keep an eye on.

Mr Gnome - Madness in Miniature

The most criminally underrated release of 2011. Mr Gnome is a guitar\drum duo whose music can be loud and aggressive, soft and beautiful, or just trippy as hell, often in the same song. this disk has been out for like 5 months now and I still listen to it a couple times a week in it's entirety. This one is definitely on my all-time favorites list.

you've never heard the Meters?

they play a sort of syncopated funk in odd time signatures

Funky as hell. Similar to Sly & The Family Stone I suppose.

All punk fans, especially 80's punk, need to get on this.

Ceremony - Zoo

Lots of awesome guitar solos, post-punk weirdness, and super catchy choruses.

I'm fond of Bandoliers, Dead End Friends, Mind Eraser No Chaser, and Reptiles.

New Fang is decent...

What're your standout tracks, Duce?

=============================

Well, I grabbed Lawson Rollins Elevation (2011) because of the beautiful Buckethead collaborations. It's a fairly solid and enjoyable ride!

Mr. Gnome Deliver This Creature

Holy. Freaking. Crap.

This is just what I've been looking for. Vicious, weird, psychedelic music. The music sounds ADHD, in the best way possible. It keeps getting distracted and going somewhere, fading out, only to come rushing back and getting up in your face, then leaving again and doing it all over again. I'm only a few songs in and can already tell that this is gonna be a "play on repeat" kind of album. Can't wait to hear the rest of the discography.
