I listened to this once or twice and hated it. Then I was driving around and this album came on and it hit me in the face like a ton of bricks. Now I can't get enough of it. I think there's a very big 70s vibe to this, as well as some Talking Heads influence in it. |

I liked this album before but the textures, the thinly veiled anger, the melancholy and the joy of music seeps through so much at this time for me. I don't want to be depressed but I don't want joy either. I just want that quintessential melancholic sound that I have come to love from us Brits. I thought it was a fantastic album before what happened to my family but now I think it is superlative. In one track we go from wistful nostalgia to controlled outrage and anger. Succinct. Stunning live rendition.

Gas - Pop keith! recommended this album to me when I asked him for some deep, immersive ambient. This album went above and beyond my expectations. I had an absolutely unreal listening experience with this album in the early hours of New Year's Day.
