Mister Heavenly's Out Of Love. Doo wop, surf rock, and doom all mix together for a confusingly good album.

Have A Nice Life's Deathconciousness. Can't even remember who recommended this or what thread it was, but thank you random poster. I said this sounded delicious, and I was right. This album is a smorgasbord of shoegaze riffs, industrial beats, and post punk vocals and keyboards. It has a fairly crushing depressing atmosphere spread out into two different discs. Personally, I liked the second disc quite a bit more than the first, but that may change after more than my single listen. Anyway, everyone who hasn't needs to check this out!

This is Muddy Waters. Live. Is there really anything else to say? Whether or not you are a fan of the blues, grab this album. It is too good to be missed out on.

Potentially my top album of 2011. Holy ****, this is brilliant. Somewhere between Dead Can Dance's Spiritchaser and These New Puritans' Hidden. Dark tribal beats, awkward guitars, ethereal vocals. Excellent art rock. Very excited about this one. I implore you to listen to it.

This sounds really good. I like Dead Can Dance and Hidden is such an unusual yet enticing album. Linkage please ;)

Just recently I can't stop listening to this:

I like a lot of Stoner Rock but often it can become very derivative but Clutch really emphasise the Blues Rock aspect of their music and their sound/production is not the typical reverb/ feedback heavy sound typically found in the genre which can become tiresome sometimes.

This is still one of my favourite 'party' songs:

Doo wop, surf, and doom sounded too interesting to not check out. I just listened to Pineapple Girl and I gotta say...good stuff. I'm grabbing that album now.

Nice!

Clutch are pretty awesome live; I saw them twice in...I want to say 2002 and 2003, but it could have been 2004 for the latter performance. Good stuff. Haven't heard much of their studio material tbh, but this was nifty and I'm going to have to check it out now!

Oh, good show sir. Pineapple Girl is actually not my favorite son off the album. Reggae Pie, Doom Wop, and Hologram take that place. Enjoy! :)

Grateful Dead - Skull and Roses
Nothing but great vibes coming from these guys. Probably there most enthusiastic effort for sure.

Karl Blau - Nature's Got Away (2008)

Lo-fi explosion of folky melancholic. Sounds like the bastard lovechild of Calvin Johnson and John Maus who just so happened to wander upon a guitar. Everything is so cathartic about this album; the cascade of sounds seem to wash in and out from no particular point in space. This strange northwest folk is not usually my scene, but exceptions can be the most wonderful auditory experiences. Definitely going to revisit this sometime soon.

I've been on a bit of a dream pop/space rock kick this last month or so, so this one here fits the bill perfectly. Just a fascinating, very solid album from end to end.

As I love Dead Can Dance carnally, I may just have to check this one out...

Going thru an Elton phase. I've not heard this much but it's probably shaping up to be a lot more likeable than I'd have imagined.
