d|p 1.1 is hauntingly beautiful. This album kind of scares me though, the history behind it is a story of destruction, and it's quite literally the soundtrack to crumbling buildings. Whenever I listen to this, I'm constantly reminded that nothing is forever and everything around me is going to crumble, too, just like the tape. One day, there will be no trace of your existence. When the apocalypse comes, I will be on my rooftop listening to this until we all die. |

Acid Bath - Paegan Terrorism Tactics (1996) I've been listening to Acid Bath for a few years now and have loved them from the moment I first heard them. Paegan Terrorism Tactics really builds up on what When The Kite String Pops started, a more refined stoner/sludge metal sound with elements of groove thrown in that make it the perfect driving album. Also Dax Riggs' dark sense of humor is ever present on this album which makes listening to the lyrics a blast. This album will always be in my top 100 albums of all time. |

Disasterpeace- The Chronicles of Jammage the Jam Mage
Got this album for free from a modern day 8-bit artist. Although in my opinion, composer may be a better description. This guy does things with 8-bit I didn't know were possible. This album is a work and art, pure and simple. It has a great atmosphere and great pace, leaving you constantly feeling like you're in the middle of an intense boss fight and/or on the most dangerous level of the game. Almost every song is a gem in its own right. Anyway, I highly suggest it. And although I haven't bought any yet, he also has several other 8-bit concept albums on his website that look (and sound) mighty fine. Take a look-see! 8-Bit Rock . Disasterpeace |
