Culturally more important 100% but better than Mezzanine? Unfortunately Blue Lines sounds dated in parts whereas Mezzanine could have been made yesterday.

I am not dissing Blue lines at all. It is a fantastic album but it has limitations.

Everyone raves about Unfinished Sympathy and quite rightly so but Lately blows me away despite the huge sample on show.

The Flying Luttenbachers—Cataclysm
I've sort of vaguely heard of these guys for years but this is the first album I've ever checked out by them. Holy shit is this some good, wild and crazy stuff! Definitely something you have to be in the mood for but very, very enjoyable.

Darkthrone - Hate them

what appears to be black metal on closer inspection are speeded-up rock n roll chords and riffs, groovy

I'm a little late to the party, but I am definitely digging this.

A great contemporary jazz trio, with some very retro, bebopish work. Very very nice. Also has a Beatles cover that sounds nothing like a Beatles cover.

I seriously have no idea how I didn't like this when I heard it a littlbe bit after it came out.

This is ****ing fantastic, probably my second favorite(after Munly and the Lupercalians - Petr and the Wulf) of 2010. My favorite track is the opener "Terrible Love".

Good lord this album is good!

Trip-hop-esque, but on the heavier side. Sometimes reminds me of Fluke.

Cool 1977 punk. Addictive album.

first split lp by two beatmakers i've come across, so you know i had to d/l it. shocked me by having better-than-average tracks for a chill-hop release, highly recommend listening to the whole thing through while tripping.
