Crippled Black Phoenix - I, Vigilante

Kind of posty-prog rock

Rest in peace, dear maestro.

The first six tracks of this rivals Hissing Fauna in pure pop excellence, but unfortunately the quality declines a bit in the second half. Complete shame, but it's still got some of Of Montreal's best tracks on it.

Agreed. The second half really disappoints me, actually. The first half is so damn good that it confuses me every time I listen to it. Kevin Barnes must have gotten bored or something.

The second half DOES have Spike the Senses, which is my favourite song on the album(well, maybe tied with Lysergic Bliss).

Spike the Senses is pretty good, but Disconnect the Dots, Lysergic Bliss, Rapture Rapes the Muses, and Eros' Entropic Tundra, all in a cluster, which are some of the band's best songs.

Mount Kimbie - Crooks & Lovers Some nice soulful, R&B twinged down tempo business with a bit of dubstep thrown in for good measure. Even though It dabbles in some diverse electronica sub-genres throughout the record, it still manages to be a really cohesive album that's great to listen to from start to finish.

Scuba - Triangulation Dark, intelligent breakbeat/house/trance? I read a review that called it dubstep, but I only got that at certain points. I really like it though.

Sounds marvy, like something I need in my life.
