Qua - Painting Monsters on Clouds
I found this album a while ago, and it reminds me of Four Tet and Mouse on Mars at times. It varies a good deal in style, and maintains an oddly beautiful somewhat fractured style that isn't so much shattering the music as introducing dreamy sunny sounds that create a sometimes chaotic effect unlike anything I've really heard before. I love this album and highly recommend if you like experimental electronic music in the vein of Four Tet without the jazz and R&B influences but something else entirely. I despise the music video though. |

Jacuzzi Boys - No Seasons (2009)
Good fun and accessible garage revival. The album art's not too shabby either.

PAUL WELLER - STANLEY ROAD (1995) Been revisiting some Weller and reminding myself how much I used to love the man. Rock 'n roll. Some nice guitar work from a very underrated guitarist. Fantastic drumming. Good, English, pub-rock. *I don't know why the only video on Youtube is 9/11 themed! THE JAM - SOUND AFFECTS (1980) Likewise. Another part of my Weller-binge today. I listened to it three times in a row. So short, so instant, so catchy. |

I think that you would like the album, if you like that track. The most famous single from it is Thats Entertainment, which is kind of a simple, acoustic number. The rest of the album is short, instant, fun and poppy. Great basslines too.

Love love love this album, some pretty perfect listening here. "John the Determinist" is probably my favourite track It's a shame there isn't a youtube link for it. I uploaded the song though, but I don't think it's allowable to post mediafire files directly on the forum.
