Iggy Pop - Blah Blah Blah
^ This one gets a bit of a bad rep from the old-timers, but I just love it. If 99% of 70s superstars having a stab at a mainstream audience in the 80s always turns out as absolute dreck, here's the other 1% for ya. |

A fantastically jazzy and devilish slice of Krautrock. I've found myself listening to it more and more often lately in light of a recent German rock binge.

Speaking of binges, I was briefly on a French 70s rock binge a while ago and I have to get back to it. Great stuff. One album particularly left a big impression. I think I haven't posted here so far. Etron Fou Leloublan - Batelages (1976) Great, quirky French avant-prog/rio and a fantastic cover.

D.R.U.G.S.-D.R.U.G.S.
Good ****. It's got some great moments of musicality, and the bitter lyrics put just the right amount of angst. Also, the very last part of My Swagger Has A First Name is so creepy. I know someone's bound to laugh at me for saying this, but Lady Gaga's The Fame Monster. It's noticeably darker in tone compared to her previous album. The compositional structure is well put together, as is the production.
